Introduction
The ICL Diploma in Business is a 2.5 academic year programme of 16 papers, taught in five trimesters, over 20 calendar months
The entry requirement is the same as for the New Zealand Diploma in Business – high school graduation plus an English score of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent in the ICL Placement Test.
Graduates of the Diploma can enter the third year of over 20 UK universities and have guaranteed entry into the second year of AUT University in NZ.
Background ICL Business School was established in 2002 and is recognised by the Chinese government. The ICL Diploma in Business, Level 6, consists of 12 papers from the NZDipBus, owned by the New Zealand government, and four papers of the IADB, owned by NCC Education. The Diploma leads into the third year of business degrees in a range of over 20 UK universities.
Originally part of the National Computing Centre, NCC Education http://www.nccedu.com/ started offering IT qualifications in 1976 and from 1997 developed its Higher Education portfolio to include foundation and business programmes. NCC Education has accredited partners in over 45 countries and five international offices. Pathways to AUT University
ICL Business School is the only private school in NZ with pathways to AUT that offer credit transfer. Graduates of the ICL Diploma in Business can expect a year’s credit transfer, or 120 points. Students who average B+ in their papers can expect to achieve 150 credit points, which will enable them to complete the Bachelor of Business at AUT in 1.5 years.

* students who have achieved 5.5 in IELTS must take 469 in their first trimester. Students who have achieved 6.0 in IELTS or equivalent need not take 469, and may take a level 5 elective paper instead.
Pathways to Third Year of University Study in the UK The ICL Diploma in Business is equivalent to two years of a typical UK honours degree programme.
The Diploma is recognised by universities and employers worldwide.
